About Shannon Gilbride, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Encinitas, CA
Background
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT # 46373) with over 20 years of clinical experience, my psychology adventure began in high school when a friend of mine recommended that I take AP Psychology. This inspired me to choose psychology as my major in college and then pursue a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
In addition to working in private practice since 2006, I have taught as an adjunct psychology professor at Point Loma Nazarene University and provided counseling services at a non-profit agency, a University Wellness Center, a residential crisis house, and various high schools in the San Diego area. I also enjoy presenting at professional conferences and leading various workshops related to psychology, parenting, and Christian Faith.
